"What an excellent cafe! We stopped in when my wife said she was hungry. We were traveling home from a overnight trip to Pierre. We stopped at the next exit, Wessington Springs, and are glad we did. We were surprised when we walked in and were greeted with all of the rustic decor. The waitress’ were very friendly as was the owner, Heather. As for the food, I had a mushroom and Swiss steak sandwich and my wife had a chef salad. The steak sandwich was the best I have ever had. I am 55, so I have had a few haha. I don’t know what they did to the onion rings, but they were delicious as well. My wife’s salad was excellent too. It was topped with home made croutons which was a nice touch. We had a slice of pecan pie that was delicious and did not disappoint. We live about 45 miles from Sweet Grass and will definitely be back.
